Greetings from Chilliwack, British Columbia (Canada)!
Scotty,
My wife are I are looking to get a larger car that can handle our local unpaved roads because the city is not yet quite developed. The 2022 Ford Explorer (trim with naturally aspirated V6 Engine& 4WD, NOT the ECO Boost nor AWD) seems like a good fit, and it seems we can get a better deal from the ford dealer because my company has ties to them. What are your thoughts on this? Is this a good investment?
Thanks
I'm guessing you live up the river.
You'll want something with good suspension and then put a good set of light truck (LT) tires on it.
I'm not a fan of anything Ford that's not a truck. What do you need "large" for? Hauling humans, or cargo?
For reliability, maybe consider a Toyota SUV or truck.
Thanks for the input!
Consider buying a Toyota Sequoia or 4Runner.
Ford products have gone farther down hill than a lot of others. If you want to stay in the country because you can't drive anywhere, get a Ford.
I'm not sure I following, you're saying that Ford doesn't make good products? Or that I should get it because of where I am?
I am sarcastically saying that if you want to stay in the country, get a Ford because you won't be able to get out of the country with it. The quality of the Ford product is poor.
If you're getting a reasonable discount, I wouldn't turn down a naturally aspirated Explorer. They're good vehicles and have a good balance between all the modern tech you're probably looking for in a new car but enough analog things to make the old fashioned side of you happy. I've test driven them, and I've been very impressed.
Thanks for the input!
