My 4runner just lost its oil pump and has a bunch of other stuff wrong with it so i needed a new daily driver. I found a 2wd V6 Explorer for auction. 68K miles for $1700. Has all the maintenace records bc it was a fleet vehicle. They also have a extended cab 2008 2wd V6 3.0 L ranger with 70K miles for $6.5K that is fleet as well. Both run and have minimal issues. Is the exployer worth it even with it being so cheap, or would I just be settting myself up for pain later. Should I go for the ranger instead.

That generation of explorers had transmission issues
People usually beat the garbage out of fleet vehicles
I don't like either of the two options i would personally look elsewhere
