I have a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3l v8 slt x cab with the suicide doors and 4x4 (the 6foot bed model). it has front disk and rear drums. The driver side bearing popped so i replaced it. found the caliper was also frozen with rust so i replaced that too. After that got a message in the OBS scanner showing the rear speed sensor was bad so i replaced both of them. Now i when i start the car, moments later when i hit the breaks i get a studder the first time, then a sudden stop the second time with the ABS, traction control and stabilitrak lights all on. if i pull the ABS fuse out, the car runs and stops normally. Thought it was maybe the ABS module but not sure. not a whole lot of mechanics want to touch this thing. love the truck so would prefer to fix this. Truck has 130k miles.
thanks for any input.
A little more information... this is an automatic. The breaks are not spongy at all, and engage at a normal height. this thing stops good and the downhill stopping system does engage when going downhill. Don't think its a hydraulic issue and when i tested the harnesses there was proper voltage on the sensors for all 4 tires. it does need new tires, i am running maypops.

Should be fixable. Sounds like the issue is still the wheel speed sensor. When you replaced them, did you use OEM, or different brand?
you could have air trapped in the ABS assembly from when you changed the calipers. You should perform an ABS brake bleed before anything else.
