Scotty, what are your thoughts on purchasing a 2013 Accord LX 2.4L Sedan 4D from a private seller. The car has 60,000 miles and the owner is asking for $13,000.
Thanks in advance for your response.
Clarification: Are you asking if this is a good/fair deal or are you also asking if the vehicle is reliable?
Clarification: That vehicle only came with the 6-speed Manual.
Asking if it's a good/fair deal and if the vehicle is reliable.
2.4L naturally aspirated engine (albeit direct injection-only, or GDI engine) paired to a 6-speed manual transmission (which was the standard transmission offered on the LX trim; CVT was optional - but avoid that!) is an excellent combo and nothing to worry there on terms of longevity. Also, see below on reliability: Still, you want an independent, honest mechanic like a Scotty to thoroughly check out with his scan tool and road test before you buy.

Others can chime on what you should pay (as that is not my forte).
even honda automatic are good if your worried about that. just dont flush trans fluid that what breaks them. the price is high but now all prices went up on used if it checks out by mech go for it. hondas drive alot better than toyotas anyways
id advice to drain and fill trans 3 times drive around and warm it up in between. use dealer fluid only and replace filter while your at it
