The Camry has 151,000k miles on it and makes a wired shaking feeling when on the highway or going at fast speeds. When you initially start to accelerate, the car has a lag or hesitation before it actually accelerates and feels like a start and stop. I did a scan and it said to replace the "STABILITY CONTROL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR". Code is C1445.
it said to replace the "STABILITY CONTROL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR"
That's strange. I've never seen a scanner tell me to replace anything.
Are you sure it didn't say "Vehicle Driven with Steering Angle Sensor not Initialized"?
I'm sorry, the exact quote is "Status: CURRENT/HISTORY.
Vehicle Driven w/Steering Angle
Sensor Not Initialized"
But recommends it to be changed as a common fix to the issue.
Who recommends? What is the "it" in "it said"? Why so vague?
.
If the sensor isn't broken, then changing it won't fix your problem.
I recommend following the diagnostic procedure I posted.
Im using the Blue drive scan tool. It usually offers recommendations if you click on the codes displayed.
I will try to follow these instructions, thank you for sharing and catching my errors. Are there any videos or links also that I can follow.
I would 1st pay attention to this part: "the DTC may have been stored due to a temporary loss of steering angle zero point calibration, such as a loss of calibration due to the power source voltage being low. "
Are your battery + alternator in good shape?
