cruze has 272,000 miles, no touble codes, automatic, def delete
Had lost about 70% of power which turned out to be a bad turbo, cartridge was sloppy and vanes had chipped. Replaced turbo, regained about half of power. After starting and revving to about 3000 rpm, engine is rough and I get a big cloud of black smoke and carbon soot. Engine levels out, but still has low power performance. Shifts too soon, doesn't pull hills without downshifting more than it should. Gas mileage about 32 instead of 41 mpg. Could not find any cracks or leaks in air intake hose to turbo. Thinking mass airflow sensor, but again, no codes showing. Any ideas?
I'm amazed the cruise with that many miles is still running could easily be the math you might try when it AutoZone if it doesn't work they take them back but without guessing you'd want a full dealer level scan road test on tantalize everything black means it's running too rich as does worse gas mileage so it could easily be the math probably it's not something else
