Well, stop looking at it.

Find yourself another, better vehicle instead.

145,000 miles is too high mileage for that GM vehicle.  I would pass on it.  Realize GM quality has gone downhill over the past few decades and that vehicle is lucky it even made it to 145,000 miles (who knows how much money was poured into it to get to that mileage).  Expecting it to last beyond this with minimal issues is not realistic.  It will become a money pit.

You came on the Scotty Kilmer forum asking if you should buy a GM product that’s got over 100k mi on it.

Cmon Man.

Wikipedia on GM Ecotec engine: "Development began in 1994, by an international team of engineers and technicians from Opel's International Technical Development Center in Rüsselsheim, Germany, GM Powertrain in Pontiac, Michigan, and Saab in Södertälje, Sweden.[2] Much of the development work on this project was carried out by http://www.grouplotus.com/eng /" rel="nofollow">Lotus Engineering, Hethel, United Kingdom. "

Pass, don't even look at it. Take your 6k, add a bit onto it, and get something more reliable and more nice. For example, a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord

2011 Camry

2011 Accord

Toyota and Honda give you a lot more quality tha GM. GM has very high percieved quality, but their cars just fall apart. They are cheaply made. In fact, 140k is pushing it for one.

Nope, you’ll have more problems moving forward.

Its a GM for Gods sake....

I would buy a 2014 Malibu for $6. However you can get a really nice Honda Civic for $6000. I would search Facebook Marketplace for a Civic or a Corolla
