150k miles, all basic maintenance done on time, trans fluid changed every year, spark plugs, belt and valves adjusted at 100k. New air filter every oil change.
Wife asked me to drive it since she said it feels off. Shifts very smooth but some things I noticed are accelerating is really slow, especially up hills. I cannot keep up with traffic no matter how hard I press the gas. I can see the manual speedometer slowly increase. When I am heavy on the gas, it downshifts and RPM's increase and I further press the pedal and RPM increase but the acceleration is the same. Just doesn't seem to have any pep left. Also noticed MPG are way down since last I was in it. When she worked 20 miles from the house 70% highway, she was over 30mpg, new job 5 miles away, dropped to 25mpg and now it's 22.2.
Other thing is when I release the gas pedal it seems to coast and very slowly lose speed, yes, the car does slow down but even going up a very small incline, I would expect the car to reduce speed much faster. Might be normal because of me just being used to my other car.
Barely loses any oil in between changes and no lights are on. Looked under the hood and everything appeared connected. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all
Jeff
Have you scanned it for codes? Probably transmission slips.
Change the fuel filter and then pressure test the fuel pump.

The full list of causes from the Haynes manual for the 2014 CR-V -

Thank you for listing the Haynes. I have the Haynes book for the CRV and Alldata DIY and I do see what you referenced but after going through the chapters there is no area where it takes about location or how, when or why to replace the fuel filter.
Unfortunately, in the 2014 CR-V, the filter seems to be inside the fuel tank, sold as part of the fuel sending unit assembly -

Did you say that you change the transmission fluid every year? So, on an 8 year old car with 150k, that’s about every 20k miles. Then as @G.T. suggested, the transmission may be slipping.
In some other regions, Honda requires the ATF be changed every 20,000 kms or 2 yrs, whichever comes first. For this particular 5 speed torque converter, I’ve seen a 60,000 kms or 3 yrs interval in hot & humid regions
After a bit of searching, I noticed a hole in the air intake hose. I could have torn it today replacing the air filter (lot of moving and slight twisting) or it might have been there before. I drove it around and noticed no difference with a clean air filter, so I am thinking it was there and/or I made it bigger. Will report back next week
Plug it with gaffa tape and check if it still struggles uphills.
