2014 Lexus ES350 just hit 100K miles: should I change spark plugs now?

Hi Folks,

The maintenance schedule says to change spark plugs at 120k miles or 144 months. Car runs fantastic with no issues. Any prudence to changing the spark plugs early? I was also thinking of changing the coils and the air/fuel sensor for bank 1 since it will be taken apart and more easily accessible.

Thanks again for all of your help!

I would wait until 120k. It takes me about 2.5 hours to do this on my daughter's Avalon and on my wife's Avalon. I did put new OEM coils on the rear plugs of my daughter's when I did hers since she puts a lot of miles on her car every year. I saved the old ones as spares. The front ones are super easy so I did not swap them. It's a coin toss in your situation since it appears you drive 10k or less a year. The original coils will likely last long past 120k but, if a couple hundred bucks is no sweat, might as well swap the rears out while you have the manifold off. Be sure to use OEM if you do.

@oldandy Thanks for the advice. I will consider waiting since I pulled the front bank of plugs and they looked to be in good condition.
