{black}:crying: Hey Scotty,
I’m in the dog house with my 24yo daughter. I talked her into getting a used one owner 2014 Mazda CX5 over a 2012 Honda CRV as her first car. She purchased the vehicle a year and half ago with 100k miles. Now the CX5 has 114k miles and the bearing went out in the transaxle. This is a known problem with these vehicles and has a TSB 05-002/19 from Mazda that describes the issue. I had the Mazda dealer call Mazda corporate twice trying to get the $7200 repair bill covered under warranty. Mazda declined both times saying it had too many miles for it to be covered under warranty. I get that, but if it’s a known problem, really?? We brought the car over to a local repair shop and they did the repairs for $3,500. My daughters in college and really doesn’t have the money to trade in the car for something newer like a Honda or Toyota. Do you think she should keep it or dump it? I can tell you she’ll never buy a Mazda again!!
Well you spent the money on the repairs. The guys who did a good job it should last longer. She should have gotten Honda though in the first place. That's why I tell people to buy them and Toyotas versus other manufacturers.
