So i feel like a total idiot. VTM 4 diff oil never changed it while i owned the car and i put 70k miles on it(85 k at this time ) . Never has the dealer mentioned anything about doing any vtm 4 oil changes. I have never used 4 wd except just to test it once during a bad winter. I don't tow anything nor do i carry heavy loads. I am not sure if it was changed after 15k , and so on . I know I'm bad but , so please don't criticize me but tell me if me changing the oil this late in the game would damage anything. I have a friend that had the same usage on his car same year and he changed it at 90k and had no issues.

honda pilot 4wd

it's not 4WD. It's all-wheel-drive (AWD). Says so right on your rear door.

I have never used 4wd

AWD means it functions automatically, all the time.

Of course not. If you don't maintain it, then it will fail.
