I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla S automatic CVT. 1.8l 4 cylinder. 106,300 miles Just Bought the car few months ago. When I put the car in drive a squealing can be heard. There is also as whistling noise that can be heard at low speeds (The pitch of the whistling matches the RPMs too, for example the pitch of the whistling gets lower when im slowing down/braking) once again ONLY when the car is in drive. Is this normal to hear or is there something wrong with my car? Car runs and drives good, I just wanna know if its something I should worry about soon.
Wow! If it's squailing, check the drive belt otherwise known as the fan belt and the tensioner. If the tensioner is loose at will squeal a lot of times you need a new tensioner on those models the tensioners tend to wear out early
