Intake manifold and engine problems

2016 avensis 1.6 d4d (BMW engine)

Hi Scotty. Long time huge fan. I bought a second hand 2016 avensis Luna in 2019 from Toyota (Ireland) and always went back for servicing. The dpf filter showed up full and wouldn't regen itself so Toyota had to force regen (€€€) at least twice and third time said the egr was on recall for that model. Since then I've never had a problem with dpf regeneration. But I've had a couple of problems (minor) and went to dealership and said the intake manifold was completely blocked it will need cleaning before the car goes into limp mode. Which is not covered by Toyota or Toyota relax... Is this going to be a long line of problems starting from the intake manifold then the next thing and so on. I tried trading upwards my car to another dealership and he refused the car just by mentioning the name 1.6 avensis due to the BMW engine giving so many problems. I don't know what to do

No way to tell. That Toyota model/engine is not sold in the U.S. so most here are not familiar with it.

I don't know what to do

Get another opinion from an independent mechanic on the car's true condition, not a Toyota dealer.
