Got stuck with one of these crap transmissions. With your "pull" in the industry, do you know of a way to get action on this? There is a class action suit started about a year ago so you can see how THAT's going to work out. Nothing.
I contacted GM, they either said I had the wrong transmission or that it was my fault. They won't take responsibility for the garbage they sold thousands of people even AFTER they knew it was defective. I did the flush, no improvement.
The matter is in federal court right now.( Speerly v. General Motors). It has been certified a class action in the following states:
Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
The following states dismissed their claims: California, Missouri and South Dakota.
Have you tried writing to General Motors to see if they are willing to do anything for you? At least partially.
Otherwise, you'll have to wait until the case is settled, and see if any scraps make it to you.
The case has already garnered nationwide attention, so I doubt exposure from Scotty will add very much.
Thank you. Yes I contacted the CEO, was contacted by what sounded like a lawyer as she just argued against everything and denied any responsibility which I expected.
Too bad such an "American" brand has gone down the road of taking advantage of their customers. Sadly, nobody will "punish" them for it and will continue to buy their products meaning the status quo will remain with us, the consumers, paying the price.
