Hi Scotty, thank you for all your entertaining videos and hard work!  You often advise changing the transmission fluid, so I decided to give it a try, but the manual says not to and to take it to a dealer 🤣.  Do you know of any reason why I shouldn't do this myself on this particular car?  Also, I saw other folks saying they cannot find the filter for the transmission and one guy tore apart an entire engine to find it and still couldn't.  Is it safe to assume I don't need to worry about the filter?  Further do I have to use the measuring hole, or can I just measure the amount I take out and replace with the same amount?  Thank you!

Ahhh perhaps if you don't know exactly what you are looking at haha. I applaud your willingness to work on your own vehicle, the right to repair is very important. You need to definitely research before you do any sort of work, tools required, and proper procedure. Idk why the guy you mention tore apart an engine to find a transmission filter? It's not external. If there was one it would be inside the transmission right under the transmission pan most likely..

Don't know exactly what you mean but yes you should put in exactly the amount you take out. My little trick is to use empty cans with the see through level and just put in as much as I took out.

No such thing as lifetime fluid, the dealer just wants more cars to break to sell you more instead of a maintenance here and there
