Is it any good to buy?

Good day,

I'm right now looking to buy a used SUV that can occasionally haul an ATV during the summer. I'm looking at a 2019 Ford Edge SEL AWD with a 4 cyl 2.0L Ecoboost engine, that has 47,000 miles on it. I haven't heard anything real negative about the Ford Edge and I'm curious if it would be a viable option.

Thanks

Actually the Ford Edge is one of the better out of the Ford SUV lineup. Yes it is true the turbo 4 is not great if you plan on making this a 15yr plus vehicle. However, 3k mi oil changes, spark plugs every 40-60k mi and 40k mi transmission fluid changes. Also make sure you change the Diff fluid around every 40-50k mi. And it should hold up ok.

The one I originally made this forum post for sold, now looking at another 2019 Ford Edge SEL with 73,000 miles. Dealer says there's nothing wrong with it, selling for $19,223 USD ($24,495 CAD). Still maybe a good buy? and the Edge with the 2.0L should be fine with hauling only an ATV right?

@atlanticcanuck it’s a risk cause the majority of consumers don’t know how to properly maintain those Ecoboost motors.

Well price is crazy nowadays but what can you do if you can't haggle price. I'm personally not a fan of the ford turbo 4 cylinder. The car in general have had some electrical problems and I believe one model has transmission issues, idk if there was a recall on it (or which one it was) but someone more knowledgeable probably can tell you.

No, not from a dealer, not with that mileage, not a Ford and certainly not for that price.  The dealer will always say there's nothing wrong with it.  He's lying.
