2016 Expedition either will not start or dies while driving

2016 Ford Expedition Limited, 3.5l ecoboost, 117000 miles, no codes showing

Occasionally the car will start first try, most of the time I press the start button and a slew of system faults illuminate on the instrument panel and a message saying "911 assist not operational" shows on the main display in the middle. The system faults shown are "Blindspot System Fault", "Service AdvanceTrac", "Cross Traffic System Fault", and "Check Brake System."

If the car dies while driving, the same annunciators are shown and no acceleration is available. Power steering still works, which helps with getting off the road. The car has typically died in motion when accelerating from a stop or slow down at speeds below 40mph.

The battery is new, I took it to a dealer who could not find any codes but updated some software and replaced spark plugs, and I just replaced the alternator today.

I've seen a few other forums mention throttle bodies or certain fuses and will look at those next.

Has anyone else had this issue or seen it before? Any help is appreciated.

Well those aren't known for throttle body problems. But they're not cheap. I would have a good mechanic drive it until it acts up and then he can record that data and analyze it to see if the throttle bodies working or some other things causing a problem. That's the problem with those complex Ford EcoBoost systems. Great when they work but when they start to act up they can be absolute hell to diagnose
