Hi Scotty,

Big fan. I only wish I would have started listening to you before buying a 2016 Nissan Versa Note for my daughter to take to college.  The car had less than 50k and the transmission had to be replaced.  After battling with the CarMax warranty people they were finally willing to pay for the replacement of the transmission.  Dealer installed a new transmission.  Then Covid19 hit and college closed early and she came home.  My wife noticed her car was leaking so I took it to get checked.  I was told the transmission was leaking, I then took it to a local dealership in Colorado.  The service manager did not believe the transmission was leaking because he never saw this problem before.  After the dealership examined the transmission they concluded the transmission again needed to be replaced. First replacement was in February and the second was in August. Six months and the transmission went out again.  What makes this worse is the service manager told me to take it easy on this type of car and driving for long distances up and down mountains is strenuous on the car and to give the car a break.  Have you ever heard of a dealership service manager to tell a customer to take it easy on a car?

Just wanted to share this story.

He was just trying to get you, and his dealership, the most miles/longevity possible on the transmission they installed.  Cut your loses and go trade it, even a new trans isn't very good in that car.
