I have a 2017 honda civic si at 27k miles a I was driving my steering seemed to go misaligned. I took it to the honda dealer in Oklahoma city (eskridge honda) and informed them and they did an alignment. I got the car back and it was still not right so I took it back. After the second alignment it was all not correct and the dealer said it could potentially be the tires. Months went by, I replaced the tires and went back to get a 3rd alignment and also told them the car was doing a screeching noise when I turned to the left. They did not find the noise but did fix the alignment. Losing all confidence in the dealer I took it to another shop where they found the noise was coming from the struts and as I informed them about what happened at they said it should have be evident that something else was wrong. I called back to the dealer and they said they would not guarantee it would be covered under the warranty (that cost me thousands) I bought from them when I purchased the vehicle. Is there any advice you could give me. Should I keep going back to the dealership or should I try a local shop?
Additionally when getting my car service in the past with this dealer they parked my car in the gas station parking lot next door and gave me the car back with a huge dent. They eventually agreed to fix it for free but only after making up a story that the person who handled their cameras was not available and they insisted they would do it to keep my business.
Take the car to a trustworthy local mechanic. Do not ever go back to that dealer.
