Whether you'll see visible smoke depends on how much oil is being burned. Hyundai and Kia products are notorious for oil burning and other engine problems, even catastrophic engine failure.

If you are the original owner and the car has under 100,000 miles it should still be under warranty. Otherwise Kia and the dealer are under no legal obligation to do anything.

Unfortunately, if it's out of warranty, they won't do a thing about it. Pay them back by not getting a Kia/Hyundai/Genesis product ever again. If more people know they could have catastrophic engine failure without abusing the engine, the engineers Hyundai will have no choice but to improve their quality or go under.
