  • HEY SCOTTY! I was thinking about buying a 2017 Toyota Camry with 46,000 miles, what do you think about that year camry? Thanks!

@justin-n
The 2016 Toyota Camry Is the Best Used Camry You Shouldn't Ignore. If you are looking for a used car, one great option is the 2016 Toyota Camry. The 2016 model has a great blend of safety, technology, and value. These cars are known for their comfort and reliability.

All depends on how much money you want to spend and in what shape the car is.

I'd ignore everything the previous guy just said and look at the price. If you wanted all those things you'd be looking at a new car.  The 2017 Camrys were the cooling looking IMO and as of this point seem to be very reliable.  No issues like the 7.0 generation before it.  The only reason I'm not getting that gen 7.5 body style is because I want to have something a bit cheaper.  The $15,000 you'll spend on that is a lot for a car when you can get a 2005 for 25% of that price.

Can you tell more about the car you are interested? Engine, transmission? There are even Camrys Scotty doesn't recommend.

@g-t
Its a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine and 6 speed automatic transmission i heard the 2018 have some transmission problems

Is it 2AR-FE engine, the 133kW one?

In 2017 the new generation of Camry was released. If you look that one, you should be careful. They yet have to fix the problems that come with new models.

If you look after previous generation, it should not be problem, because it was released in 2011.

Anyway, it needs to be checked out before buying.

@g-t
I think your thinking of the 2018 camry i think the 2017 is the same engine they have been using for awhile

I would say if the price is right than buy it. How much are they asking and what condition is it in, has it been in a wreck, and does everything work right? If everything looks good on it and the price is right, than I would say go for it as it is a Toyota that will last as it was the last year for than gen Camry so all of the issues will be worked out.
