2018 Grand Caravan Blacktop model
3.6L V6
69,700KM
Automatic
Purchased used from Dodge dealership in June 2023. Has been in an accident - no details, was not rebuilt
My van stalls every so often at random times when I'm sitting at a light in drive. I then put it in neutral or park, restart it and continue like nothing happened for days. Luckily I got the dealer to include a 2yr 60K Dodge warranty. Up to now they have replaced: the TIPM, camshaft wiring and sensor, torque converter and valve cover. the only thing that is not happening now is that the check engine light is not coming on but it has stalled once, since all these corrections were done. Any thoughts ? The previous owner did have a front end collision which I have not been able to get any details for. Mario
Well, once they're in front-end collisions all bets are off. There are so many computer sensors and wires that could be damaged from being in a wreck. It would make your head spin. I would say find a good Dodge electronic mechanic to check all the wiring and the can bus lines or the computer system which is fancy electronic equipment and pray it's a shorted out wire or wire that's pinched or sensor that's been damaged. Once cars have been in wrecked that's why most people will get rid of them if it's a big rack cuz they never run the same with all this modern computer crap on them
@scottykilmer OK do you know of an excellent Dodge electronics mechanic in Ottawa Ontario or say in Eastern Ontario ? I'll go as far as Toronto to get the right person. Thanks Mario
