Dear Scotty,

I love your channel and have learned a lot from you over the years! Thank you!

I have a 2018 Honda Fit LX 6 Speed Manual with 35,000 miles. The Check Engine Light came on tonight. I turned the car off, unscrewed and recapped the gas cap, and it is still on. It is not blinking. I changed both air filters several weeks ago. The cabin filter (from Honda) does not fit properly, it's too big and doesn't lay flat. I am hoping that is the issue. However, I have read online that 2018 Honda Fit's have several issues with fuel injectors and sensors. This is my 5th Honda and I have never had an issue this early and it is due for emissions testing. Please help.

Thank you,

HondaFitFreak

Please scan the vehicle for codes & post them here. Any auto parts store should do it for free.

If you are saying that you have something to do with emissions then you might have a problem with your catalytic converter (assuming).

Please get a scan tool and check for codes.
