I have a 2018 Mazda3 Auto w/about 65000 miles. This has the "lifetime" transmission fluid that I'd like to change out. I'm seeing conflicting answers on the internet on the best way to proceed.
1) Should I just drain the pan, measure out the fluid removed and add new Mazda trans fluid
or
2) Should I drop the pan, change the filter/clean the magnet, reinstall and then add the proper Mazda trans fluid?
I've seen people say just do #1, where others have said don't waste your time doing #1 as you're leaving most of the dirty fluid and the dirty filter behind.
Thanks in advance.
