2018 Toyota Camry

I had a 2015 Cadillac SRX performance edition and traded it in for a 2018 Toyota Camry LE with 51,000 miles on it with the new 8 speed (paid cash) i am noticing that the Toyota seems to hunt for a gear called the dealership and they said they are going to do a diagnostic test. Do you think there is something wrong with the transmission or it just needs a software fix and has anyone else experienced this?

Ugh praise god thank you. I’ve been driving it around town and it’s starting to adapt to how I drive, still think it needs a software update.

That is a common problem with those, generally they can be fixed with a software fix. OTHER than that, its also an adaptive transmission which would get used to your driving dynamics after a while, if it doesn't try to have the software fix done and see if it helps.
