2018 Toyota Highlander maintenance

We have a 2018 toyota highlander v6 awd with about 39k on it. Other than oil and filter change every 5k, can anyone recommend a good maintenance schedule for diy? I know trans fluid should be changed from time to time, though I find no mention of it online from toyota. This is the lowest mileage vehicle we've ever had and I would like to keep it going as long as possible. Thanks!

These days they don't even tell you to change the trans fluid in a lot of cars, and have a sealed transmission. That doesn't mean you can't, or shouldn't change your fluid, you should. I would say change your trans fluid every 50k or so, don't forget with awd you are going to have differentials and transfer case as well, afaik, again 50k is pretty good. that's a few things, others to keep in mind, coolant, power steering and brake fluid, and sparkplugs.I would think all of those are at 100k.

Check your owners manual for all maintenance, and recommended change intervals specific to that vehicle to fill in any gaps.

This question reminds me of myself. I say that because i'm all about maintenance care but with this type of car there really isn't much to do! Other than what you already know, might be best to just stick with the basics: oil and filter, battery, air filters, brakes, etc. You shouldn't have much else to do, just wait for something to break down.
