Should I buy a 2019 Ford Fusion hybrid?

I've been considering buying a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid with 59,000 miles on it. I was just wondering about how long the EV Lithium battery last on these cars and about how much it would cost to replace? Don't know if this would be a good investment or not. The car is at a large Hyundai dealership and they told me the battery was guaranteed for another 29 months or 40,000 miles.

I'd rather get a 2019 Toyota Prius with similar mileage over a 2019 Fusion Hybrid. Most of the Fusions and Fusion Hybrids we were made in Mexico, the labor is much cheaper there, and the quality control isn't great; they don't make Fusions and Fusion Hybrids anymore, either, so that tells you something.

@kingpin I had a 2013 prius from 3 years old at 77k miles until 8 years old at 180k. It was the least maintenance car I have ever had, and it was great driving. It was comfortable on long trips, I even went on a 3k mile trip from south georgia, to Cincinnati, over to new york and back home. 52 mpg the whole way, and no issues.

Now if I compare my Lexus GX470 to the prius, it is a little more cushy, softer on bad roads etc. However, the prius is a great riding car, that is another reason so many taxi drivers, and uber drivers use them, you can drive them every day comfortably.

Toyota is the only company I would ever buy a  hybrid from, they are the best, and many issues with others. It is normal for them to go well past 300k miles with little to no issues.

Take one for a test drive before you count it out.

Well in the video Scotty made he said the prius rides like crap and the fusion rode real nice . He also said the Fusion was assembled in Mexico. He talked like they were good cars.

My main concern in an older one is how long (on average) do the batteries last before needing replaced. I'm seeing some used ones 12 years plus with well over 150,000 miles on them.
