Hey scotty, i have a 2019 honda civic lx cvt 2.0 liter engine. I bought it brand new 4.5 years ago and the battery has finally given out because my car won't start. I checked the battery and the voltage was at like 11.6 or something so i know it's the battery. When i go to replace the battery in a newer honda, do i have to have the computer registered to recognize it is a new battery like in a toyota vehicle or can i just put it in and be good to go? Also what type of battery will my specific civic lx model take? AGM? Lead-acid? Because it is a base model civic

See your owner's manual. That's the greatest reference.
Well the AGM batteries are the best but they cost a whole bunch more. It probably came with a normal lead acid battery. You don't need to reregister it on a Honda. They don't have that stuff like BMW do. But if you don't want to lose all your memory and stuff, you could use one of those memories savers like I've shown where you connect them to the OBD port with a little 12 v power supply. So when you take the battery out, you don't lose computer memory
