Looking to buy brand new 2020 suv planning to keep it for 6 years. But can't decide. Options are 2020 Rav 4 le awd or 2020 Mazda CX5 awd or 2020 Subaru crosstreck manual awd?
thank you in advance:)
They are all awesome I like the CX-5, Crosstrek, CR-V, and Rav4. For 6 years none should have that many problems assuming all under 100k so I would test drive them if you wanted 400k miles out of one of them I would go with the outdated in my opinion subpar Rav4, but otherwise, I would say Crosstrek vs CX-5 at this point.
I would go with the Crosstrek. Subaru has an awesome AWD system and with a manual transmission those cars are truly excellent. With some all-terrain tires, you can even do some mild off-roading with that Crosstrek - not something the RAV4 or the CX-5 could handle.
Subaru seems pretty decent seen one last 300 thousand kms. Which would be awesome and apparently the subaru is cheaper to maintain than the rav4
How many miles (roughly) do you plan on putting on in 6 years? And how will you be using the vehicle? What about options, features, tech, and cargo space?
The small car i have now has 195600kms on it i maintain my car very well and mostly diy. I want a suv because in canada we get a lot of snow so would be nice to have awd and i go to the mountains occasionally.
I’d say since you plan on keeping for 6 years, need good traction for the snow, and occasional mountain travel to get the Subaru Crosstrek. They have an excellent and proven AWD system, can’t got wrong with that choice.
