I recently purchased a slightly used 2020 awd Mazda Cx30 at a dealer. I went for Mazda because I wanted Japanese reliability but a few weeks after buying it I noticed the door sticker says made in Mexico, Is this is red flag in terms of dependability? Its Japanese engineering but it wasn’t built by Japanese people. Should i be worried? Do you think It’s going to fall apart sooner than it should?
Avoid cars made in mexico in the future
It will fall apart sooner than a Toyota or a Honda, but since you already bought it, just drive it & see what happens.
It’s almost brand new, so you shouldn’t suffer from any longevity problems just as yet.
@inthrustwetrust
yeah, except Toyotas with their latest 8 speed transmission (class action lawsuit pending, just search for it) or Civics, Accords, and CRVs (all million-plus of them) with the 1.5turbo engine with the fatal Oil Dilution problem (Scotty's video has 1.4 million views so far):

Somehow, I don't see any extraordinary problems with Mazdas built over the last 6-7 years in Consumer Reports, even those made in Mexico, how strange to rely on actual data instead of opinions pulled out of thin air...
Mazda has been working on quality for a while now. They don't sell as many vehicles because their advertising budget is low... I would take a mazda over a Honda any day but it all depends on what you want. That made in Mexico sticker doesn't mean anything as long as the quality control at the end meets the standards necessary. All of those parts were likely made in Japan and assembled in Mexico...
