Hey Scotty, hoping you can help put us in the right direction to getting this issue resolved. My fiancé just got a new 2020 Nissan Kicks SR. Unfortunately for us, we didn’t discover during the test drive that the HVAC system is all screwed up. Set at temperatures of 60 and 61 degrees, the air blows out cold as you would expect. From 62 and up, it blows maximum heat! There is no in between. So either you’re freezing or sweating here in the Ohio winter. We took the car back to Nissan and they are saying there is no issue! This is the “smart” design to “keep the system from damaging itself”. I thought I was about to have a stroke as these people have lost their mind. Nissan is offering nothing to fix this other than to have us test drive other kicks to see this is how they all are made. Can you help us!?! This is insane that they won’t even say it’s an issue. {black}:afraid:
thank you, Zach P.
If you can replicate the problem for them there is no reason for them not to do anything about it. There were other models in the past that had this issue for improper blend door operation. I would go higher up the ladder with that dealership and make sure the proper people know your concerns. Not that it should’ve gotten to that point in the first place
If they all do it, you're kinda stuck until a recall happens or a class action lawsuit comes forward. The dealer can say that is normal and if the manufacturer doesn't say otherwise, then it is normal. Now, we all know it isn't but until Nissan owns up....you're stuck. Now if you try other ones on the lot and they DON'T do it, that's a different story.
