2021 Corolla Hybrid - Every Code Imaginable After Towing

Hey Scotty, really need your help!

I just towed my 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE with 7000 miles about 30 miles using a tow dolly, where the front two wheels are hooked in place and the rear two are on the ground moving. The car was shifted into P when on the dolly, and the parking break was NOT engaged.

I got home, took it off the dolly, and the entire car lit up like Christmas and wouldn’t move at first. Eventually it decided to work and I drove it around the block and it behaved fine.

I made sure to look at the owner’s manual, which is specific to the Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE, and they explicitly state that it can, in fact, be towed using the two front wheels. An image was shown with it allowed on the next page. The only thing they said was to “make sure Automatic mode is disabled”, which is a function I’ve never used where the vehicle automatically turns on its parking break when in P.

I’m desperate to figure out a solution here, and I checked the damn owner’s manual before I did any of this. I still need to tow it several hundred miles up north. At this point after letting it sit and driving it around a bit, I think it’s just the “check engine” light that’s on now.

I would never tell a hybrid car they're too complex I would well put it up on the air either put it on a truck or get a dolly where you drive it and all four wheels of the hybrid are on the trailer wheels and not rolling on the ground
