Scotty,
Love your YouTube videos.
I am about to turn in my 2018 Nissan Rogue (leased vehicle) and have been very disappointed by everything from fuel efficiency to seat comfort. As I am being offered incentives to stay with the brand, should I take the opportunity and move into the new, 2021 Rogue? I was planning to move away from it but considering going back as they are claiming a redesign and much better car. As I live in the North East (Montreal, Quebec) I really want to stay with an All-Wheel Drive vehicle and an SUV. However, I am asking for your advice. Should I stay or should I go? If i go, what would you suggest?
Thanks.
Sincerely, Shaun
If you enjoyed the lease of your old Rogue I would have said if you are fine with <10 years/100k miles out of a car it could be a good idea. But in this case, no. Nissan isn't good at improving. They also have subpar quality.
You would be much happier saying thanks but no thanks to the "incentives" and buying a USED car, like for example a 2018 RAV4. Plus, Rogue depreciation is horrible. They would need to take half the mrsp off to make it a smart purchase in my eyes.
On a seperate note, redesigned cars, whether from Fiat or Toyota, ALL have kinks and issues that aren't worked out for at least a couple years, or in Nissans case, a couple decades. Plus, its the ugliest SUV I have seen from Nissan EVER.
It was a good idea to lease it before. No, I would not get the new Nissan Rogue, especially being an all-new model (i.e. first year of new generation) it’s always best to wait a few years to let the bugs/issues get ironed out (for some companies they never get ironed out). You are better off looking at a Toyota, Honda, Mazda, or Subaru product (Subaru’s have the best AWD).
Ask yourself this: Why throw more money at & reward a company that disappointed you?
You were disappointed with your last rogue, you will be with a new one. They might change a thing or two but it's still the same car. Get a car you will enjoy. Period.
If you've been disappointed with what you have, you think getting a new Rogue will be any different. There's other AWD SUV's out there with better quality and better value for $$ than Nissan.
Not unless you like throwing money away.
The only way I would buy a new Rogue would be if I could somehow get into a time machine to go back and buy one of these:

Absolutely not. Go to your credit union, loan out 15k and buy a 5-6 year old AWD Toyota RAV4. It will.last as long as ten Rogues
Claims are one thing. Facts are another. It's a common ploy, this claim that "that was the old program, car, appliances, curriculum, etc."
Products and services are an expression of the corporate culture that created them. Nissan's culture has not fundamentally changed. Ergo, don't expect the future to be different from the recent past.
no. only buy toyota and honda
My co-worker owned a 2018 Nissan Rouge. The Rouge lived up to its name. Its engine went rouge on her and she decided to traded it for a different vehicle after an expensive fix. Now, she is making payment for both the Rogue and her new Mazda.
Toyota Girl's comment is equally true of human relationships! (Folks who get divorced who end up with subsequent partners who look, sound and act like the prior partners).
Haha, if you want to buy a badly made vehicle. Go for it.
That sounds counterintuitive. Don't buy any Nissan Rogue, especially one brand new.
If you did not like your old rouge then stay away from the new ones. Get a Toyota or a Honda they are much better than Nissan in quality and reliability.
