Hi Scotty my daughter is thinking of buying a 2021 toyota corolla LE 1.8l engine. Is it a good car? Does it have turbo? and a cvt transmission, the asking price is about with every thing $20,500. Will the car last a long time if it has turbo and cvt transmission.

its a decent car and they do last quite a long while. but with that being said, the CVT transmissions have gotten kinda of a spotty reputation over the years…
while TOYOTA CVTs are much better then most competitors transmissions, if you want to get something that will last longer I’d recommend a manual or even considering a Mazda3 with a 6 speed conventional automatic transmission.
It can be an excellent car and can last a while if maintained. No, the Corolla does not have a turbo, but it has a CVT.
Yeah go ahead, they can run a long time if well taken care of, but do make sure you maintain that CVT.
