Hi Scotty,
I have a 1983 Buick Park Avenue RWD coupe with a 4.1 V6, 200-4R, and less than 8k original miles. It is in like-new condition, but has a bad vibration at 65 mph and above. The car has (4) new tires of the correct size, a new driveshaft due to the original being found to be bent, a new rear transmission mount, repacked front bearings, and (4) new shocks. All of these replacements and the vibration still exists. It is like a washboard. The engine runs fine and the transmission works properly, but I'm wondering if it has a defective tire or a bad torque converter. Other than this, the car is a pleasure to drive. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
We'll put the front tires in the back in the back in the front to see if it goes away if not it could be a torque converter but that would only happen when you're accelerating at a steady speed it wouldn't
