I have a 97 Toyota Camry, 155k miles on it and I took it to my mechanic for a blown brake line and while fixing it, they saw that my bottom carriage in my car was rusting through. They sent me pictures (not sure how to upload them here) and yes it does look pretty rusted through. I was wondering how much time would I have left with my car with the Minnesota winters I go through?

If the unibody structure is rusted through it's time for the junkyard.

My crystal ball seems to be malfunctioning at the moment. However that thing has already gone 28 years - how much longer do you realistically expect it to last, particularly if it has serious rust problems?
Just remember on your next car, deal with the rust before it gets this bad, and a car like that can keep going a long while if the pieces don't dissolve, or fall off.
I am in upstate new york, so I feel your pain with the bad rust. I ave spend numerous saturday afternoons prepping my GX470 for the winter. After I am done this year, it should be just touch ups for several years though.
I would buy another one not rusted and use your current one as a parts car. For that year 97 parts are getting hard to find having a parts car will pay off just a suggestion, iv had luck doing this with my 97 Corolla it’s peace of mind know I have a whole spare car for backup including a spare motor and Transmission
cheers
