Want to buy a 99 Buick Regal with 22,600 miles from a dealership in Webster TX in November for $7900. I heard about how reliable they are. Is it good idea?
I have an extremely hard time believing that a 22 year old vehicle has only 22,000 miles on it. And since it's being sold by a dealer, I don't believe it at all. It is Federal crime to roll back speedometers. You might want to use this as a negotiating point with the dealer if you choose to make this incredibly foolish purchase.
That's kinda expensive, but that's alright IF that's the original milage. Those have the 3.8 V6 in them and those are very reliable engines, you should be able to get over 200k only doing normal maintenance as long as you don't beat the snot out of it. So while you would pay an awful lot (because that's what dealerships do) you would have a very good car with low milage, and it should last you a very long time.
