I have a 2017 Hyundai Sonata and when I turn on the a/c a chirping noise seems to come out of the vents it sounds like a cricket. As I turn up the A/C the noise does not seems to get that much louder. I suspect the serpentine belt but the car only has 11,000 miles, is there anything else that could be the problem?
I would love to know the answer to this.
I have a 98 4Runner with the same issue. It doesn’t happen all the time. It’s been going on for years.
The only time I've heard a chirping noise when engaging the A/C is when the compressor clutch is worn and starting to slip. Are sure the noise is actually coming from the vents and not from under the hood?

Yeah I’m sure I tried to more or less troubleshoot the problem and I opened the hood and did not hear the noise and the belts were tight. The sound remains whether cooling or heating
Maybe a blend door gear?
Since you say that the sound is coming from the vents and not from under the hood, check whether there is any debris in the AC blower motor. If that's the case, it should be a very simple fix.
