I have a 2002 Ford f150 4.6 and my a/c has stopped working and only blows hot air. I tired recharging it with the a/c recharge that you can but at auto zone but when I connected it to the a/c the meter said it was over charged so I let out some of the refrigerant and the compressor started working then ... stopped working again now when I turn on the a/c the compressor will start and stop about 3 or 4 times and just not work and still blows hot air  can you please help

Oh there's so many things I can go wrong but you want to start with a basic test. That would be to have all the refrigerant removed the system evacuated a factory weight or volume of refrigerant put in an NC what happens. But you're only do this if the system has been touched if no one had touched it and it was working and then it wasn't the overpressure would be because you have a problem in the system like a restriction that builds up too much pressure. You can only have too much refrigerant in the system if somebody had touched it if nobody had touched it you've got a blockage somewhere you would have to fix
