Hi, Scotty, thanks first of all for educating general consumers/public, giving opportunity for making better/responsible choices on auto repair or purchases!
My request is would you be able to suggest part number for Bank1 sensor 1 and bank1 sensor 2, for, 2000 coup solara sle V6 (1mzfe engine), with sticker (vehicle emission control information) under the hood says: "This vehicle conforms to u.s. epa regulations applicable to gasoline-fueled 1999 model year new passenger cars provided that this vehicle is not sold or delivered to an ultimate purchaser for principal use in the state of california or a state that has adopted california standards under the authority of section 177 of the clean air act and those standards are in effect". I am really having hard time on whether to chose calif. specif or non specif sensor etc...Is it air/fuel ratio sensor or oxygen sensor, coz seems the denso or other website just give options and says sensor fits your car..Confused! When i searched online on amazon and plenty other websites, loads of people have ended up chosing wrong sensor from denso directly or through amazon etc..have shown frustration on doing double work! So, could you help on clarifying this. Further this sticker reading have made people misunderstand as if this car cannot be sold or registered in california?? Thanks a bunch!
Well oxygen sensors are so picky. I would go to the dealer. Look at one of theirs if you don't want to pay their expensive price and get the number and then search with that number online to see if you can find what was the same exact number. And of course it has to be the dancer like the original one is
