Hey Scotty,
I noticed in the engine bay of my 1998 Honda Accord with 188,000 miles there is an empty cavity near all the engine belts and wondered what is supposed to be in that empty cavity on the driver side. After asking this question on a honda facebook group, I discovered that the ABS brake system is supposed to be in that empty cavity. My car appears to lack that optional ABS brake system, do you think its a wise investment and safer to install the Honda ABS brake system for my car? Or is it best to leave it alone since my car was not equipped with ABS brakes standard? What do you think? Thanks.
-Dan.
Don't even think about it with a 23yo high mileage car. The job will easily cost more than the vehicle is worth.
Either buy a car with ABS or learn the art of threshold braking.

Back in the stone age, Fred Flintstone and me didn't even have ABS. Learn to touch the brakes lightly in slippery conditions.
