Ac compressor seized

I have a 2002 Acura rsx and the ac compressor has just locked up and won’t budge. This is going to be an expensive fix for me and I was wondering if I would be able to drive around without turning the ac on for a few months without causing any further issues. Also Should I replace the entire ac system or just the compressor.

Of course you can drive it around. As long as the belt runs fine if the AC compressor itself is seized but the bearing on the pulley still works and the car runs without the belts burning off you can drive it that way. But a seas compressive it's locked up off and sends metal throughout the system you'd have to replace just about everything and flush out the system
