I've owned many Nissans in my days most was the Sporty 93 2 door Sentra SE-R with SR20DE. Then I had a 96 Nissan 200sx SE-R SR20DE. Then a 2006 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V QR25DE all cars always reliable and 6 spd with LSD Transmission.
WELL NOW IM LOOKING AT THE IDEA IF A Nissan Altima SE-R with the VQ V6 6spd and im.just worried cause I head everything after 2007 went to JUNK for Nissan. I am asking about the reliability/ Draw backs and defects known to help decide to AVOID or Good choice. Thanks
Avoid it. As you mentioned, modern Nissan quality is going south. Consider Honda if you want to have fun with manual transmission.
After Renault and Carlos Ghosn took control of Nissan in 2000, the Nissan you loved was slain. Now, it's no better than FCA.
As the title says, "You Can't Go Back Home." Don't let nostalgia lead you into an expensive mistake.
Back then Nissans were better made. Now they are basically junk.
The 6 speeds have always been sold
trans and the ser altimas are a cool car and they rip. If you can find one they’re a solid buy for reliability
Yeah, those are great cars before the 07 Altima which was junk. It's got that VQ35 engine (bulletproof engine), 6-speed manual (automatics were somewhat weak), if you can get a good deal on that car, go ahead and buy it, they can be pretty good cars.
