I was looking into getting a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L Coupe 2.4L with 119,240 miles. The car has a CVT transmission. I’ve heard that these accords can run into issues with their CV transmissions, and was wondering what anyone’s thoughts were on the transmission, as well as any other issues I should look out for. The car is at a dealership and I was looking to trade in my current car for this one. I’ve got a 2017 Civic touring, which has the horrible oil dilution issues, and wanted something cheaper, more reliable, and a fun daily driver. Any feedback would be amazing. I plan to check out the car and go for a test drive sometime on the weekend of this post going up.
Thanks!
Elliot
Actually Honda CBT seem to hold up quite well they don't have problems like the crap that Nissan puts in their jetco transmission
They are well made cars and the CVT is farely reliable if you take care of them. The most common issues are starter failure and uncomfortable seats, and you can find the details here: https://www.carcomplaints.com/Honda/Accord/2013/
Not a deal breaker, just make sure to have a mechanic check it out.
