Assume no maintenance on a used vehicle without many records?

Just bought a 2012 Ford  F-250 Super Duty, 120k miles. Runs absolutely great, but not many records of maintenance. Should I assume most maintenance wasn't done at the appropriate intervals and do it myself? Differential oil, transfer case, coolant, plugs, wires, coils, etc.? Thanks!

At least look at them. It's not that difficult to tell apart original from recently replaced.

Assume the worst and you'll be half right.

I probably would, especially since most of those items are DIY-ready and not too expensive.  With a heavy duty pickup, you have to assume it has done a lot of towing and hauling, which would shorten the recommended maintenance intervals, particularly for the differential fluid, transfer case, and coolant.  For the plugs and coils, I would defer to someone who knows more about that particular engine (V8? V10?).  Ditto for the transmission fluid.
