Scotty, I used to be a Celica, Corolla, and Accord guy, but since 2003 have owned two E46 BMW s where I’ve learned to do almost all my own work, including changing that stupid plastic gear in the transfer case, and OFHG and valve cover gaskets. Spent relatively little on those.   I’ve recently taken a fondness to your AT-205 . It really worked for a rear main seal. I have now own an 2016 M235i xdrive with the N55 engine. I have 90,000 km on and it’s doing very OK. I change oil every 8000 km with good synthetic. There are no signs of oil or other leaks, I’m wondering if you would recommend a half bottle of the AT205 to just help keep the gaskets supple before the drying and leaking problems develop. I’m 60 and drive like an old man with only occasional spirited driving. The engine has never been abused! (Unless driving it the N55 like this is abusive 🤔). Any suggestions? I enjoy your advice!

No. We get questions similar to this routinely. AT-205 is only for seepage, and it's just a band-aid. The only real way to do this is replacing the offending seal.

No, do not use AT-205 unless you have a leak. The product works by swelling rubber seals and if your seals are in good condition that can actually damage them.
