Audi 2013 Quattro ATF change???

Hello Scotty\Everyone

Forgive my ignorance I am new here.

I have an Audi 2013 Quattrro 87k miles. Runs well and no issues YET! And I want to keep the car for a little longer

Dealer said ATF is lifetime and they do not want to change it.

No 3rd party shops\mechanics wants to touch it for ATF change. I've seen some DIY procedure on the internet but it looks shady to me.

What should I do? Please help.... Thank you in advance.

Chris after being with Audi for a few years. There is a bit of truth to not changing the fluid. Yes it looks and smells horrible as it ages. But often times once you change it it usually doesn’t work out well. Good luck

Noted. Thanks for the info, appreciate it!!

In the near future I'll provide an update on how many miles I got on a "lifetime" Audi ATF before my tranny gives out.

So far so good for now, planning to keep the car for the long haul.

Chris let me tell you my story with Audi. I had a 2001 Audi A6 Avant wagon. I was a service Director at the time at a Audi dealer. I bought the car with a blown torque converter seal. At that time the car had 131k on it. I had to put a tranny in then. That Trans had 97k on it. When I put it in I topped it off with Audi fluid FYI big Buck$.. At the end of the day that car ran up to 297k and I never had a hitch... German cars are different when it comes to fluids. Now if this was a VW product with a DSG transmission YOU NEED TO CHANGE IT AND THE FILTER OR TRANS DEATH ☠️ WILL OCCUR!!! They should be changed every 45-60 K. Have a great night

Thank you for sharing your experience, that would set my expectation on the car =) hopefully I can at least reach 150K+ I will be happy.

Anything beyond that will be a Bonus for me.
