Ive taken both bolts off, and the nuts for negative and positive. My issue is the connector for the solenoid, it will not come off. I've pretty much strangled it. My hands hurt and I cut my fingers from how hard i squeezing and pulling on it. Can you give me any pointers or tips on how to get it loose?

That's a Germans for you they put these stupid connectors that are often impossible to get off. A lot of times for those you need special tools to unhook the fasteners but if you try and try and can't get it off you can always cut the wire off and then splice new wiring in when you put it back by soldering and then putting heat shrink tubing on so water doesn't intrude
