Hello Scotty ,ive a used Audi A6 2.7 2007 european version with 180hp 7speed automatic multitronic . After i buy it i did replace all filters and oil except multitronic oil becouse here in Albania everyone keep saying me you dont have to. My car dont accelerate like it should and consume 30 liter in city for 100 km .
It had and engine light code for air intake manifold but i did replace with new, i also clean maf but the same . My multitronic does give a little shake when change from p to r or d or n like car goin back and forth, is this normal ? I think if it might be any vaccu leak but every mechanic here sais if you dont have codes its ok . I did talk to a guy who repair injectors and he told me its not a injector problem becouse in highway the car consume good 6 lit . The brakes are ok i think becouse i check for heat and its not very hot . What it can be ? Can you give me any suggestion cos it consumes like a ferrari and walk like a panda . Please help

How many km does the car have?

255 000

Or can it be the throttle body , i did clean it a bit but i dont know if the flaps closes as it should , here is my video https://youtube.com/shorts/p-UPPEBlju0?feature=share

Well you broke my first covenant I say never by used Audis as their endless money but I'll do products often their problems with the mass airflow sensor you might try cleaning it with cleaner and have a mechanic check if that doesn't work to see if the dad is coming out bad and it needs a new math sensor that's a very common problem with those things

They are really endless money . But i did buy it cos it was cheap 3500€. And now with all maintance
I did ive spend 2000 more .
If you can answer .. i usually get a dpf particular filter warning ,and it goes away on its own . Can it be that it may be blocked and cause the poor acceleration and poor fuel economy on city driveing ?

I suppose you have diesel. According to source you have one of earlier engines that have problems with injectors. Another issue with 2.7 TDI engines, known to me, is with air intake system, usually throttle body motor. What about ECU?

Multitronics are not reliable, I think not changing automatic transmission fluid is not good idea.

Perhaps @dan and @inthrustwetrust can tell you more about that.

But why it consume 30 lit in city and 6 in highway , if injectors have problem ?

How much city driving do you perform? Does it drink so much since you have it?

(I assume it’s an EA896? The very short lived 2.7 V6 TDI with about 180HP)
I remember the fuel system being a total mess on that engine, I remember the accessory fuel pump belt would snap, the Bosch fuel system’s injectors would go bad, and let’s not forget the swirl flaps on these motors that have a tendency to randomly fail. all of these tend to happen before 100,000 km…
“”Das. Auto.””

So , i cant do anything to fix that acceleration and fuel consume ?

Since i have it this 3 month , i do a little city driving and the fuel goes so badly , like 3 times more than it shoud . My friend has the same with 3.0 diesel and with 7 litters does city driving all day . If i do like him i loose 1/4 of my fuel tank

try advice @inthrustwetrust gave you

Do you mean 6l/100km on the highway?

Are there any leaks in the turbo plumbing?

What are you doing, not driving a Mercedes, in Albania? -

When ive removed the maf sensor i did remove the tube that connects with turbo and ive seen a little black oil in there , what it can be ?

A little oil is normal. A clogged DPF will do exactly like the symptoms you’re describing. Try driving the car hard (Italian tune up) for 2-3 hrs on the highway going atleast 100kph. If it continues, ask a good diesel mechanic to check your DPF.

I had this problems when before when i dont had the dpf warning . The car made 2000 km from germany to tirana Albania , and after 2 days of city driveing the warning of dpf showd up , after i was to mechanic he told me it cant be a dpf becouse of that traveling , he just clean the codes with computer and i havent had it since 2 month , this week it keeps shows up , and goes away on its own . Last week when i replaced the air intake swirl flap tje other mechanic told me its 14% cloged dpf , but its not bad he said , when he reach 40 % it will be bad . I have done like u said every time i drive in highway i drive with speed 80km/h and 3000 . Its better to clean it somewhere or just highway driveing , becouse ive done highway driveing but it just only turn of dpf light and car is stll poor in acceleration and consume so much fuel

If mechanically is everything OK, the problem must be in computer/electronics.

Bottom line, it’s already turned into an endless money pit.. you have to decide if you want to keep spending, or just sell it right now & move on to something more reliable.

Suggest me a car that its reliable consume less and itnhas a good looking

In Europe, a diesel VAG product like an Octavia or Jetta. Or even an old diesel Mercedes. What vehicles do mechanics have experience with, in your area?
