I enjoy your YouTube videos, and I agree with your opinion many times. So I wonder if you can help me. I have an 1989 Ford F-150 with a 302 and a 5speed. It has 120,000 miles on it. I bought it for $100. It was sitting for about 5 years for a wore out tie rod. I replaced it and did a shade tree alignment on it and drove home. Seat was rotted, the side fuel tank had a rust hole you could drive a bus through, the breaks was soft, and the valve covers leak oil like a sieve. I spent a lot of money and time fixing everything to get it running. The problem I need help understanding is the fuel system. In particular the two tanks and the selector valve. I understand the was a recall for the fuel return system to prevent the tank selected from overfilling the other tank while driving. Something about check valves installed. I can not find any information on the recall so that I can find the parts needed to repair my fuel system. Right now I have to keep switching from one tank to other while driving to keep the fuel in the tanks. If I forget the tank not selected can overfill and spill out the gas cap on the ground. It has two new tanks, new fuel lines and new selector valve from Ford. I have not painted the truck yet and the upholstery is still bad ( I put used bucket seats in it that are red, and truck is blue.) Yet instead of paying thousands of dollars on new or newer truck I decided to fix this up and keep it till I die. (70 years old)
Thank You in Advance for your advice,
Dan Comer
